Can you believe this sweet, little, California-born babe has grown into our Big Three-Year-Old Ruby! Rubes calls all the shots at the Butler Home and I can't even imagine our family before her... p e a c e f u l ?
Rubes never stops talking (demanding) and speaks with a low, raspy voice, hand gestures & a slight, Spanish accent... she's an original!
For her birthday, Ruby wanted to ride the Carousel and have cupcakes with pink fluff icing!

That photo of Ruby in the hospital is unmistakable Rubes...her face hasn't changed a bit. I think she looks just like that when she gets mad...3 minutes or 3 years.
Abbie sure misses her. Asks me every single day if Ruby is home and makes me go through the entire story about where she is.
